Dyer Street
As you head up Dyer Street to the town centre  one of the first shops you will encounter is called Gardiner Haskins, if you carry on down the Cotswold stone road you will end up at the M&S “simply food” store. Next to M&S is a small courtyard where you can sit and enjoy a coffee whilst watching the world go by.​

The Corn hall​
The picturesque Corn hall is in the heart of Cirencester so it is definitely worth a visit to this beautiful place. Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday there is a home Fashion and Garden Bazaar. In the Bazaar they sell: jewellery, scarves, leather bags, cushions and lots more.

In the festive market there are 50 delightful wooden chalets, which all sell different types of festive Christmas gifts.

Castle Street

As you enter Castle Street you will notice a Vodaphone store which took over the unoccupied premises which was left by a travel agent. There is also a shop called R Scott which is gentlemen’s outfitters which has been serving in Cirencester from 1905.


Once you have finished all your busy shopping you could go and have a coffee and piece of cake at the Cake House is on Bishops walk on Cricklade Street.

Cirencester park

 

Cirencester park is 8 km long and 4.8 km wide. The park is like a forest style garden. Cirencester park is useful to walk your dog and peaceful because you can have a picnic. The best view of the park is from the top of the church steeple in Cirencester.


The Opening hours are 9am –5pm and admission is free that means you don’t have to pay. Within Cirencester park is the famous Polo-ground, founded in 1894 and is the oldest polo playing ground in the UK.
Cirencester park is owned by the Bathurst family.

Cirencester schools

 

There are lots of schools in Cirencester. Some of them have uniform and some don’t. Here are just a few of the local schools: Cirencester Primary school, Down Ampney, and North Cerney Church of England Primary school. Cirencester primary school has a huge library and has roughly 400 children!
